Domestic customers of Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) and Lanka Electricity Company have been given the option to change their times of use (Time of the day tariff).

The government has decided to launch a pilot project for people working in officers in and around Battaramulla. Under this project they will be given the opportunity of working on flexible hours.

A special discussion was held under the patronage of Secretary to the President P. B. Abeykoon to look into the issues of the internally displaced persons and resettle the displaced persons in the Mannar district, at the Presidential Secretariat yesterday (16^th May).

The three storied office complex of the Ruwanwella Divisional Secretariat division built at a cost of Rs. 21.6 million will be opened tomorrow (18^th May)
