December 10, 2014In view of the Sri Lanka Navy’s 64th anniversary, religious ceremonies were held at the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic in Kandy on 08th and 09th December 2014 with the Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy, Vice Admiral Jayantha Perera, Mrs. Shalika Perera, the Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Navy Rear Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne, senior naval officers, sailors and their family members in attendance. The Commander of the Navy also called on the Mahanayakas of the Asgiriya and Malwatte Chapters to receive their blessings for the anniversary celebrations.
