Continuing Army’s community welfare programmes for needy people of Jaffna, Security Force Jaffna (SF-J) arranged a donation of livestock among 200 low income families recently. In a simple ceremony organized at Muttvaly ground in the Jaffna town, 100 cattle and 100 goats were handed over to the beneficiaries with a view to strengthening their economy.  The event was held to coincide with the birthday of President Mahinda Rajapaksa.

 President Mahinda Rajapaksa presented pension letters to Civil Defence Force (CDF) personnel who have completed the required twenty years of service during a ceremony held recently. Gracing the ceremony as the chief guest the President presented letters to ten CDF personnel as a symbolic gesture.
