Malaysia's Transport Minister Hishammuddin Hussein said Thursday the country has dispatched an aircraft to the site where Chinese satellites photographed three "suspected floating objects" in the search for a missing Malaysia passenger jet.

China's State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense (SASTIND) said on its website on Wednesday that the three suspected objects were monitored at 6.7 degrees north latitude and 105.63 degrees east longitude, spreading across an area with a radius of 20 kilometers.

“The Commonwealth is a large group of Nations representing different national aspirations, economic systems, cultures, religions and other interests. It can be a force for good and play a significant role in addressing some of the major issues confronting the world today, such as poverty, global health and youth issues, etc.” said the the Permanent Representative of Sri Lanka, Dr. Palitha Kohona at the 47th Commonwealth Day Reception hosted on Monday (March 10) in New York. The reception was hosted by the Permanent Mission of Sri Lanka in New York in collaboration with the Permanent Missions of Malta and the United Kingdom.
