Sri Lanka's Export Trade sector recorded a relatively a higher growth of 11.1 percent in second quarter 2014, when compared to the slower growth of 1.2 percent recorded in the second quarter of 2013, Department of Census and Statistics said in its Quarterly Estimates of Gross Domestic Product report released recently.

The Newly Constructed Kandy Bus stand, the  new commercial complex, new pedestrian path and number of Development projects will be vested with the public by  President Mahinda Rajapakse  on Saturday (15).

An exhibition on the history and the development of the health services of the country from the beginnings will be held on the 13 and 14 at the Kandy Buddhist Centre.

Construction work on the Northern Expressway was inaugurated today (14) in Galewela.  Thereafter the President also participated at a public rally.
