President Maithripala Sirisena officially inaugurated the Scout Service and Public Relations Week of Sri Lanka Scout Association on Friday (June 5) at Presidential Secretariat.

Many programs will be held island-wide during this week to build the team spirit, expose the talents of scouts and build relationship with the community. It is anticipated to raise funds for scouting projects by their own capabilities and to train themselves to face the challenges in life will be trained through these activities.

President Maithripala Sirisena said he will arrive at a final decision over the resettlement of public near the Wilpattu National Park after obtaining several assessment reports.

President made this statement to a group of environmentalists when they handed over a report with regard to resettlement of public near the Wilpattu National Park.
